The Kerry-Graham-Lieberman Senate climate bill is on hold for the time being and faces an uncertain future.
As the Democratic leadership in both the House and the Senate re-hash their legislative priorities concerning immigration reform and banking overhaul, today's expected roll-out of the climate bill has been cancelled, with Republican Lindsay Graham's crucial participation in any future legislation now uncertain.
Graham feels that now is the best time to move forward, having been given assurances from the Democrats that they would be rolling the legislation out this week.
As the Associated Press reports, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid intends to bring the bill forward this year. Lieberman says that he is encouraged that when the bill does move forward, Graham will on board.
